This is our story
Nestled in the beautiful landscapes of Mpumalanga, Anathallo Lifestyle Centre is dedicated to promoting holistic health and well-being through lifestyle medicine. Our journey began in 2013 when we became acutely aware of the growing mental health crisis in South Africa. With a strong desire to alleviate this burden in the surrounding communities, we sought natural ways to promote both mental and physical health through a healthy lifestyle.
In 2019, we acquired a small farm that became the foundation of our lifestyle centre. Over time, we developed the property to provide a serene and healing environment for our guests. Our facilities now include:
- Comfortable guest rooms for visitors seeking rejuvenation and wellness.
- A dedicated treatment room offering therapeutic massage and hydrotherapy treatments.
- A flourishing vegetable garden that supports a wholesome, plant-based diet.
- A thriving herb garden supplying natural remedies, such as herbal teas, ointments, and poultices.
- Scenic walking and hiking trails for outdoor rejuvenation and relaxation.
Our passion for lifestyle medicine led us to explore educational opportunities to share its principles with our guests. However, we struggled to find an affordable, comprehensive curriculum tailored specifically to the South African population. In 2024, we embarked on a mission to develop our own unique training program. Grounded in the well-established NEWSTART principles of health and backed by cutting-edge scientific research, our curriculum demonstrates that these principles remain as vital today as they were over a century ago.
As our program evolved, we recognized the urgent need to disseminate this life-changing knowledge widely. This realization inspired us to focus our efforts on creating a training curriculum that is aligned with both SAQA and AHPCSA standards and requirements, and is designed to equip those interested in medical missionary work with the skills to share God’s blueprint for healthy living. Our program is open to individuals of all ages, with a particular emphasis on empowering young people to engage in medical missionary work and lifestyle medicine.
Looking ahead, we aim to expand our reach by establishing health restaurants in nearby cities. These restaurants will not only serve nutritious meals but will also feature treatment rooms offering simple massage and hydrotherapy treatments under the supervision of a lifestyle medicine physician. Additionally, these treatment rooms will serve as practical training sites for students completing their course, providing valuable hands-on experience in lifestyle medicine.
At Anathallo Lifestyle Centre, we are committed to restoring health, educating communities, and empowering individuals to embrace a holistic, God-centered approach to wellness. Join us on this transformative journey toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.
